Change Programmes – Tailor Made

ARK Associates work with clients to tailor projects that help an organisation deliver strategic change. We cover any angle or type of change - from developing strategy to devising appraisal schemes.

The Client A well-known British company in the food and drink sector.

The Issue The company needed to expand its brand-owning activity markedly; and also cope with very substantial growth. All its management team and 120 sales and customer service people needed to understand the nature of the change. They also needed the skills for selling and managing brands.

The Programme Three ARK consultants worked on this project. We appointed a “change team” of ten talented middle managers from within the company. We held focus group sessions with them – to identify likely barriers to change; influential training strategies; support materials; and senior management input.

ARK designed, produced and delivered two courses using the information gathered, assisted by the change team members.

The change team members are now working within the organisation to ensure momentum is maintained.

Dyslexia in the Workplace Almost three million adults in the UK workforce suffer from dyslexia. Most people associate the condition with impaired reading skills, but in fact symptoms are more wide-ranging, including problems with maths, prioritising, absorbing and communicating information accurately and completing tasks in sequence. Adults with undiagnosed dyslexia have often developed sophisticated coping strategies, but can hit a wall when given autonomy over managing their day and their workload.

ARK now offers coaching support for dyslexia, including: dyslexia awareness for HR professionals; diagnostic testing; and coaching support for dyslexia sufferers and their line managers. We can help dyslexic people implement highly effective self-management action plans to reduce stress for themselves and their colleagues.
